The practice has a strong foundation and presence in the community, having been established for over 100 years. We are a progressive equine practice, that believes listening and being approachable are the key elements of our success. Whilst we can visit you, we also have the backup of our hospital and laboratory facilities for equine patients that need admitting or require investigation that is more involved. Two administrators and a team of six dedicated veterinary nurses support us.
As horse owners ourselves, we are aware of the emotional, time and financial commitment of horse ownership at all levels of interest and competition. Therefore, you can be assured that the advice and treatment offered to you will be a product of veterinary knowledge and personal experience as well as being individual to you.
At Delaware, our equine vets draw on their broad depth of experience to provide solutions, treatment options and readily advise on the most appropriate management in each individual case. Our equine vets are always keen to take on challenges, explore new methods, techniques and treatments for the benefit of your horse.
We believe communication is essential in the vet/horse owner relationship and utilise the following methods to keep in contact:
- Provision of follow up written notes after each consultation will be emailed to you for your convenience. Therefore providing an invaluable continuity of care.
- Email and telephone contact with our equine administration team.
- Invitations to our quarterly client evenings with presentations on equine topics, following which a lively discussion usually ensues in the question and answer session.
